Hello and welcome!
I’m so
glad you’re here.
Art, knit and crochet are my passion. I
graduated from Central St. Martin's College of Art & Design, studied (BA
Honours) Textile Design. I was born in Turkey and moved to London at 1997.After
studying Fashion Design and working many years as a fashion designer, I changed
my mind to studying again to Textile Design. Love colours, highly dyslexic and
mother of a beautiful girl.
I have being knitting, cross stitching and crocheting since I was 9.My mum tough me everything I know. My personal interests;hand knitting, stream of consciousness knitting:) knitted felt, felt, stitch, embroidery, textile art, soft sculpture, crochet, macramé, machine knitting, colourful knitted creatures to striking upholstered furniture designs, rugs.
I have always
fascination with colour and texture. I love to give inspirations to everyone. I
created my facebook page called Textile Design and Designers Platform while I
study at Central St Martin. All of my friends were asking my opinion of their
work and idea come up from there. I love to share, love to give inspirations to
students or artist. After graduate I started to more focus on my facebook page
and Fiber Art Now magazine editor (Marcia Young) found me from my page. She asked
me if we can do something together. I started to help them to found English Textile
Artist and called myself researcher. Then later on now I am writing also
article about designers and their work. You can read my article to the magazine Fiber Art Now. Publishing in USA but you can subscribe from their web site.
